Kairos Power is going to construct a low-power demonstration reactor at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Kairos will invest one hundred million dollars in a project to showcase its ability to delivery low-cost nuclear heat. The Hermes reactor is a scaled-up version of the Kairos Fluoride Salt-Cooled Hight Temperature Reactor (KP-FHR).

It's a well-known fact among herb growers, but I was today years old when I learned that bay leaves actually come from the laurel tree! It makes total sense when you look at them but I never put the pieces together. I'm thrilled that you can not only grow them, but that they can get so big. I use bay leaves almost daily and would love to have a steady source just outside the house!
It's 2021 and we still don't have universal healthcare in the United States. President Biden just issued an executive order to help lower drug prices, but as we've seen so far, these executive orders don't always accomplish what they sound like they're supposed to accomplish. We really need to push for universal healthcare, but we also need to try to push for every inch we can get along the way.

The long-theorized neutron-clustering effect in nuclear reactors has been demonstrated. A new study recently published in the journal Nature Communications Physics details the work. The research was carried out by a collaboration of Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) and the Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), both located in France.
